President of MSM
Majlis Senator Malaysia (MSM), or Council of Malaysian Senators, was established and registered with the Registrar of Societies in January 2013. Earlier, the Senators formed the Kelab Senators and it was formed by the National Front party and only meant for that particular party and only sitting or serving members are considered.
But in MSM, in its constitution it is stated that members of the Council comprised of the sitting/serving Senators and the former/retired Senators who have served the Senate regardless of whether for one term or full term, and opened to all political parties as a bipartisan organisation.
The objectives of the Council of Malaysian Senators are centred on representation, legislation and national interest.
Provide representation for every state in Malaysia and strengthen inclusive governance.
Offer views and opinions in the formulation of national laws.
Advise on matters related to national priorities and public wellbeing.
